  • It is located in West Africa and hares land borders with the Republic or Benin in the west, Chad and Cameroon in the east, and Niger in the north.  Its coast in the south lies on the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean

  • Slightly more than twice the size of California
  • Offical Language: English, others Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani, over 500 indigenous languages
  • Religions:  Muslim 50%, Christian 40%, indigenous beliefs 10%
