Children Served: 248 CCCS reaches poor children in remote areas. Karina Velasquez was a CCCS student who lost her parents; at 18 years, she was left to raise her four young brothers, one of whom has polio. While raising her brothers, Karina had a stroke and became blind. Now, the church members help with thebrothers and Karina once again is a CCCS scholarship student—this time at the school for the blind.
