From Guinea, we received a very detailed report which comes to us in French. Vicar Thomas Tolno reports that 90 children this year have been baptized and 30 were confirmed. In these little village Lutheran schools, where typhoid fever and malaria are serious conditions that threaten our students, the Muslim children are welcome. As they learn about Jesus from their teachers and study the catechism with their friends, many are coming to faith. More than 60 Muslim children have been baptized and in some cases whole families are now Christians. Next year Vicar Thomas hopes to expand the ministry to 90 schools serving over 4500 children with funds from CCCS!
Prayer Request: Praise God for the success of the CCCS supported schools in Guinea. Ask God to keep the children and teachers healthy and that they will grow in their faith as they continue to be a good witness as they teach their Muslim neighbors.
