Several families attending the Lutheran Home for Students in Zacapa were affected by the mudslides that plagued the country this summer. Many of you gave emergency funds for the support of families who were unable to pay their portion of the tuition to attend school. Becauseof the outside gifts, the Lutheran Home for Students in Zacapa was able to keep their doors open and stayed open two months longer through November so the students could finish their year. Fourteen students graduated, nine as teachers, the other five in the careers as agriculturists, water specialists and specialists in industry.
