Director Marina Mendez de Recinos was a former CCCS student who lived in Zacapa, Guatemala - the site of the first CCCS school. Marina shares the Gospel through education with three villages and Monte Sion Lutheran School in Pasaquina which goes through 9th grade. She serves the children’s educational needs and helps buy medicines for those that are in desperate need. Maria reports, “these village schools help the poorest of children, and we always receive many thank you letters.” CCCS supports students in El Rincon, Hato Nuevo, Santa Cruz, Monte Zion Lutheran School and Pasaquina.

Here are letters from two of our students:
My name is Isaura. I am 14 years old and study in the 8th grade. I live with my parents and two brothers. Every day I pray to God for you who so generously give us books and food provided at my school, Mount Zion. My parents and I thank you for your support!
My name is Maria. I am nine years old. I like to study social studies in the 5th grade. I am an orphan living with my grandmother. She works washing clothes outside to provide for us. Thank you for the support you give us. The climate here is very hot and we have no drinking water, but in the winter the river overflows and floods our houses. May God bless you.
