The Artist Advocate Program is a partnership with musicians and speakers in promoting and sharing how being Christ's Disciple is an active life of service. These artists support CCCS students and speak on their behalf. You can sponsor one of our students through one of these artists.

The members of AriSon have dealt with various struggles in their lives. The sudden death of a spouse, physical abuse, suicide, verbal abuse, and broken relationships are many of the issues the member of AriSon have experienced. While each of these circumstances are unique and different, one very important thing ties them all together - they have received the comfort that can only come from God. Lisa Hellyer loves the Lord and has a heart for connecting with His people. Often times throughout the week, in her desire to hear other people’s stories, and to share what God is working in her life, Lisa can be caught sharing a meal or coffee with someone. Lisa’s passion for relationships impacts her audiences as well, as she weaves together the fabrics of God’s Word, story-telling, and her tremendous sense of humor. In her years of ministry, Lisa has had the opportunity to speak at two National Youth Gatherings, as well as at District Youth Gatherings, Educator’s Conferences, and Women’s Retreats. Lisa is one of the authors in a woman’s Bible study devotional, A New Song: All of Your Wonderful Deeds, and she is currently working on finishing her first children’s book. Lisa strives to be faithful in living her every day ordinary life to honor her Lord, Jesus and to make Him recognizable to those around her. She leaves the extraordinary in God’s hands.

LOST AND FOUND, Michael Bridges and George Baum, have been traveling around the world performing concerts of their original music and making friends in the process, since they were in high school. Their music is the kind of thing that often prompts reactions like, "Well, I have never heard anything like that before." Michael and George are willing to admit, "Yes, it is a unique sound." Their concerts are interactive, driven by the audience. Each show is different--always spontaneous, improvisational and musical, and often poignant and funny. Some have said their music is like the intersection of The Ramones and John Denver. Others have called it "acoustic thrash." Some have called it "heavy mental" owing to all the lyrical content in each three-minute song. And some have simply said, "Well, at least it's organic." However you choose to characterize the sound, if you see these guys play, you'll find that all are welcome, that strangers become friends at the concerts, and that the music of faith is fun.

The Reverend Gregory T. Manning has aspired to be a Lutheran Pastor since the age of four. He has dedicated himself to the service of the Lord by serving in the urban core of Kansas City, Kansas. In Kansas City, Pastor Manning, with God strengthening him, seeks to reach out to gang members, drug dealers and the impoverished. His congregation has been called to serve the needs of God’s people within the poorest county in Kansas and beyond. God has blessed Pastor Manning with a gift to inspirationally preach the word of God and he considers it an honor to travel throughout the country to minister through the word of God. In spite of the fact that Pastor Manning was born 96% blind, due to a hereditary disease in his family, he has been said by those who know him best, to have “extraordinary vision”. Pastor Manning’s passion is for the poor and brokenhearted in the city and for racial reconciliation amongst God’s children. In all things, Pastor Manning gives glory to God proclaiming that according to Philippians 4:13, he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him.
